Local
Bus
There is one local bus a day from Rhyl Station to St
Beuno's, it leaves at 13.45. So if you want to save a few pounds the
10.40 train from London Euston should connect with this bus. You will
arrive in St Beuno's about 2.30pm. It is a small bus, number 10, run
by M & H Coaches; sometimes it only has a card at the window to
say where it is going.
If you are travelling by train and either not on a
scheduled retreat or ending the retreat before or after the rest of
the group, then you may want to take the bus which leaves St Beuno's
about 9.20am and arrives about an hour later at Rhyl railway station.
(We suggest you don't book trains that leave much before 10.45 am.)
For
the Fit - by Bus and Foot
If you are fit then you can take the every 20 minute
51 bus from outside the railway station to St Asaph. The walk from St
Asaph to St Beuno's should take just over an hour. (The 51 goes to Denbigh/Dinbych)
Get off at the Cathedral, walk down Chester Road to the footbridge over
the A55. Continue on Holywell Road (parallel to the busy A55) at the
roundabout go straight across to Rhuallt. At the crossroads after Jones'
Land-Rover repairs turn right on the road signed to Tremeirchion. We
are about 1Km on the left. You can get a map from 'bing' below.
TAXI
Taxis are almost always waiting outside Rhyl station.
If you contact our local taxi firm before you leave and give the time
your train is expected to arrive at Rhyl station, then they will be
there with a 'St Beuno's' card. Keep your eyes open for other people
coming to the retreat if you would like to share a taxi.

for a single journey.
