A retreat that looks at creative ways of self-expression
and how this can help in meditation and prayer.
For those who are used to creating art, the art space can be
a natural place to pray. For people who don't see themselves
as artists, trying something new can be a great liberation.
This retreat focuses on art as prayer so what is important is
what happens when you use the art materials, rather than what
anyone else might think of the end result. For this retreat,
people are welcome at all levels of artistic ability and experience:
all we ask is that people be open to meet God in their exploration.
We begin with two days more intensive work
in the art room with help and guidance when Sr Renate will lead
the group in both making of art and the reflection upon art
images as a prayerful way of knowing self and God. Then we move
into an individually guided, silent retreat when people can
use the art room as much as they like.
Cost for this retreat, which includes the
free use of art materials in the St Beuno's Art Space is £364
