Taking
time away from the busy routine to pray and consider
what is right for you can bring a clarity and renewed
sense of purpose.
Our retreat guides are skilled in the art of discernment.
You will find that sharing issues with a neutral but
sympathetic listener often helps you to see things with
a greater balance.
If you are new to taking a Christian faith seriously,
or wish make some space to see if God has anything to
say to you personally, then you will find this sort
of Individually Guided Retreat particularly helpful.
You will be given guidance in prayer and discernment.
Barmouth, on the mid-Wales coast is a tranquil setting
for an individually guided retreat. The house with the
sea in front and hills behind is in some of the most
beautiful country in all Wales.
The house itself is simple yet comfortable. Most of
the bedrooms have delightful views of the sea or the
hills. There is a chapel and a number of pleasant sitting
rooms.
There will be delicious home cooking on this retreat.
The main meal is in the evening. For lunch there will
be materials for sandwiches or a salad.
The retreat will suite those who are young or at least
fit and active. To benefit from this retreat you will
have to be able to climb stairs as there are no ground
floor bedrooms.
There are men's and women's communal washrooms.
Within easy walking distance is a prayerful 12th Century
Church which is always open.
The retreat begins with the evening meal at 7pm on
the first day and ends after breakfast on the morning
last day.
Arrivals welcome from mid-afternoon onwards.
Unlike at St Beuno's, there are no Bibles available
in rooms, so we suggest that if you have one, you bring
it along.
Inclusive cost of the Retreat is £330 for the
19-28th
* For students and people under 30 the offering can
be reduced to £155.
To book please sent a booking form and a Non-Returnable
booking fee of £75
But please remember for all our retreats the 'offering'
is just that, if you honestly can't afford it, just
let us know how much you can afford. We do not wish
people to be deprived of the chance of a guided retreat
for the lack of money.
