Download a 2009 Programme to print: We have now attached a copy of the programme for 2009 as a .pdf file, so that you can download it and print out a copy of our latest programme. Its about 1Mb so quite a big file and it opens in any pdf reader, the most popular being Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Care of the Environment: We have taken steps in 2007 to try to improve our Carbon Footprint. In conjunction with The Carbon Trust we are looking at ways to reduce the energy consumption in St Beuno's. For more details We have also had a 'Sustainablity Health-check from Businesssense which is a specialist business support service in sustainable development, based at Bangor University. From a 39 page report it was said that:
"St Beuno's Spirituality Centre achieved very good scores for the economy (74%), Social (74%) and environmental (74%) dimensions. This indicated that the Centre shows a remarkably well-balanced approach to sustainable development."

The Decorators have finished painting Capel y Coed. This Chapel has also been given a new carpet. The Main Dining Room and a few smaller rooms have been painted. The main crucifix in the Dining Room has also undergone restauration.

3M Change for 2008 in response to demand for more places on the training course for retreat givers and spiritual direction on the 10 week course, we are introducing a shorter training course in the autumn of 2008. Two celebrated experts in Ignatian Spirituality, Frs James Hanvey and Philip Endean will be helping the St Beuno's team on this course. The course can be combined with a pilgrimage in the footsteps of St Ignatius and the full Spiritual Exercises Institute.

St Beuno's Wish List Thanks

LABYRINTH
     Initial clearance of the site has been done. Our next move is to clear a few more branches and shrubs from the area to give extra light. Then we shall lay down the actual labyrinth. Our Gardener is currently looking a the best method of producing a durable, but not too expensive Labyrinth.

Sorry for the delay on the last item, but we have had pressing problems in maintenance last year.

New for 2007 is the full Spiritual Exercises in 3 stages: We are offering the 30 day retreat in 3 ten day units over three years. In the first year we offer the beginnings of the Exercises and the first week, the second year we follow the second week of the Exercises, and for the third year the third and fourth week of the Exercises will be given.
This method of doing the Exercises has proved popular in other countries of Europe.
