Grants and Bursary help

To run St Beuno's it actually costs about 10% more than the suggested offering. This extra money given by the Jesuit Order. For those who cannot afford the rates below and who are not supported by an organisation such as a diocese or religious order, there is a limited bursary fund available to make a further reduction possible.

Special rates are offered for students and young people on certain retreats.
If you need to receive financial support from our Bursary Fund, then please enquire when you book.
There are charities that are prepared to subsidise longer retreats if applications are made well in advance.

Please contact us to make sure there is a place available on the retreat you want before paying.
Nb. The 'Full' list of retreats on our webpage is sometimes a little out of date.

Payments by Cheque or Cash

The most economical way of paying for a retreat is by cheque, or when you arrive here, by cash.
Our bank only accepts cheques drawn in Sterling on a British bank, crossed and made out to "St Beuno's".

Credit Card LogoPayments by Credit and Debit Cards

There are two ways to pay by Credit or Debit Card.

  • Via St Beuno's office: either by phone, fax, letter or in person; let us have details of your card and we can process your deposit or full retreat payment. EU Credit Cards incur a surcharge of 2% so a £75 deposit will actually cost you £76.50. Non-EU Credit Cards incur a surcharge of 3%.
There is no surcharge for UK Debit Cards.

Booking For shorter retreats and courses.

  • Via Paypal:Click on the 'payments' button for deposits and retreat payments.
You will then be transfered to our secure server to fill in your own amount in the "unit price" box.
There will be a 1.9 % surcharge for this service whichever sort of card is used on UK payments, and a 3.5% surcharge for foreign exchange. Paypal accept American Express and certain other cards our own bank will not accept.

This surcharge is narrated as 'shipping'. So a £75 deposit will cost about £76.43 drawn on a UK card.

NB: Unless you are a 'Verfied' member of Paypal you may be limited to sending £500, €750 or $1,000.

Payment by direct transfer

We ask you to pick up the bank charges.

Pay St Beuno's Account at NatWest Bank, St Asaph, Denbighshire.

International Payments

Please make out international payments in GBP British Pounds (Sterling).

You can pay via Bank Card or Direct Transfer.

We don't advise Bankers Drafts or Eurocheques as our bank is unreliable in processing them.

Your Bank will convert the British Pounds to your own currency on your statement.

Donations and Gift-Aid

If you wouldlike to help St Beuno's by making a donation we would be more than grateful. We have a Bursary Fund to help people who can't afford our suggested offerings. We also offer very heavily subsidised retreats for young adults in June.
We also seek donations for extras to improve the facilities at St Beuno's. See what we are currently looking for on our 'Wish List'.

If you are a British Taxpayer then please consider 'gift-aiding' your donation as this increases it to us by 25% without you having to pay any more.  Gift Aid Form

CAF cheques can only be used for donations, not for retreats as these are considered to be a benefit.

St Beuno's is a Jesuit run charitable institution operating under the Trustees for Roman Catholic Purposes, Reg. 230165

* Does not include flights on the pilgrimage. In 2012 the three flights were about £160.
The pilgrimage is dependent in cost upon the exchange rate. If the British Pound falls 10% below rates of 1.22 then we will have to charge more. For those going on the pilgrimage we shall deduct the cost of the flights from the deposit, what remains will be credited against the full offering.
The pilgrimage cost is based on single rooms, two people sharing a twin room would be £50 each less - £1150.

Cheques in Sterling Pounds (GBP) should be crossed and made payable to 'St Beuno's' and sent to:
