We are all different, so it is not surprising that we find
differing ways of prayer more helpful. Some of us are more creative
than others, some love music, others art, some prefer to ponder
and think.
This school of prayer will give you a chance to try out different
ways of praying. At St Beuno's we find that many people who
wouldn't have considered one way of prayer, when they are presented
with it by someone who is skilled in leading others in prayer,
find that they are greatly enriched.
This is a very practical look at many different ways of turning
the mind and heart to God in prayer. For each way of prayer
presented there will be the opportunity to hear about it, experience
it, take time with it and then share with others the fruits
of the different ways of praying.
This course is not a silent retreat but rather a workshop teaching
ways of prayer.
We shall include:
- Scripture in prayer using Lectio Divina and Imaginative
Contemplation.
- Creative prayer - art
- The Body and Prayer
- Sharing Prayer
- God in daily life
- Examen of consciousness
- Reflection and self direction
