Rhyl is on the North Wales line to Holyhead and Llandudno. There are direct trains from Cardiff, Chester, Crewe, Holyhead (for Sail/Rail travel to Ireland), Llandudno, London, Manchester and Warrington. Buying Tickets When travelling from London the cost of tickets varies dramatically. For example a 1st Class single from London to Rhyl can cost up to £199.50; a full price Anytime single is £130 - while an Advanced single ticket can cost as little as £13.50 for the same journey on the same train. Tickets from Manchester and Liverpool do not vary quite to much in price; and if you are coming from West Coast Scotland you might find booking two tickets one to Warrington and the other from Warrington to Rhyl is cheaper. Advanced tickets
have to be purchased at least a day in advance. They can be purchased
on the internet and collected from Euston Station provided you have
the Credit Card you booked it with. Advanced tickets from London are
booked as two singles and the cheapest price is £13.50. Anytime tickets from London are exorbitant and should be avoided if at all possible. Anytime Single London to Rhyl currently costs £130. First Class £199, returns are double this cost.
There is one Bus a day from outside Rhyl station to St Beuno's at 13.45. Returning to the Station at 10.30am. The bus leaves you with a short uphill walk to St Beuno's. (about 100 metres)
