Rhyl is on the North Wales line to Holyhead and Llandudno.

There are direct trains from Cardiff, Chester, Crewe, Holyhead (for Sail/Rail travel to Ireland), Llandudno, London, Manchester and Warrington.

Buying Tickets

When travelling from London the cost of tickets varies dramatically. For example a 1st Class single from London to Rhyl can cost up to £199.50; a full price Anytime single is £130 - while an Advanced single ticket can cost as little as £13.50 for the same journey on the same train. Tickets from Manchester and Liverpool do not vary quite to much in price; and if you are coming from West Coast Scotland you might find booking two tickets one to Warrington and the other from Warrington to Rhyl is cheaper.

Advanced tickets have to be purchased at least a day in advance. They can be purchased on the internet and collected from Euston Station provided you have the Credit Card you booked it with. Advanced tickets from London are booked as two singles and the cheapest price is £13.50.
Advanced tickets are only valid for the journey booked and cannot be transfered. Therefore they are not advisable if you are hoping to catch the train direct from a flight unless you leave plenty of time. (Who knows when you will arrive through baggage claim and customs?)

Off-Peak Saver Return tickets can be purchased on the day of travel and used on any off-peak train; the return has to be made within the month. Enquire when booking if an off-peak return is valid on the train you wish to travel on. This is particularly important if you plan to leave Euston before 9.30am or between 4pm and 6.30pm. The easiest way from the station is by Taxi

There is one Bus a day from outside Rhyl station to St Beuno's at 13.45. Returning to the Station at 10.30am. The bus leaves you with a short uphill walk to St Beuno's. (about 100 metres)
