Ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you, or speak to the earth, and it will teach you. Which of all these does not know that’s God hand has done this? In God’s hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all people. Job12: 7-19
The moment one gives close attention to anything, even a blade of grass, it becomes a mysterious, awesome, indescribably magnificent world in itself. Henry Miller
How might we ask the animals and the birds? How does the earth teach us? What does it mean to know God’s hand in every being and in the breath of you and me? God’s Earth is expressive, alive and speaks. Come and listen.
For a third time, we will offer this gentle and contemplative retreat. We hope to spend much of the time outdoors*.The retreat has both times of silence and reflective sharing and will make use of scripture, poetry, the natural world and more. Weather permitting, we shall gather around a fire in the woodland!
All are welcome and no previous retreat experience is needed. Just come with an open heart and a sense of curiosity.
