This retreat is an invitation to spend some time with the spirituality and wisdom of the desert fathers. These earliest monks have much to teach us today in our noisy and overly stimulated world. They invite us to pray by embracing times of solitude and silence where we offer the deepest sense of who we are and what we desire most to the transforming presence of our God.
Each day will begin with time together to focus on a particular dimension of the spirituality of the desert fathers and the rest of the day will then be anchored in silence and solitude as a place where the transforming encounter with God can occur. There will be an optional group sharing each day for those who find this helpful.
