Pope Leo XIV following hiselection stated that "We want to be a synodal church, walking and alwaysseeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering."
At the service of mission, thefinal document of the Synod proclaims the hope that the synodal Church willbring to fruition
" theintertwining of our vocations, charisms and ministries, by going forth to meeteveryone in order to bring the joy of the Gospel: communion with God, with theentire humanity and all of creation.’ (Final Document of the Synod[154] Oct 2024)
Over the weekend wewill explore some of the key themes of the final Synod document throughprayerful reflection and spiritual conversation. This is an opportunity todiscern and attend to the Spirit’s invitation in our own context andlife. The methodology will be conversation in the Spirit and there willbe talking at meals but there will also be opportunities for silence.
