We want to be a synodal church …
Pope Leo XIV following his election stated that "We want to be a synodal church, walking and always seeking peace, charity, closeness, especially to those who are suffering."
At the service of mission, the final document of the Synod proclaims the hope that the synodal Church will bring to fruition
" the intertwining of our vocations, charisms and ministries, by going forth to meet everyone in order to bring the joy of the Gospel: communion with God, with the entire humanity and all of creation.’ (Final Document of the Synod[154] Oct 2024)
Over the weekend we will explore some of the key themes of the final Synod document through prayerful reflection and spiritual conversation. This is an opportunity to discern and attend to the Spirit’s invitation in our own context and life. The methodology will be conversation in the Spirit and there will be talking at meals but there will also be opportunities for silence.
